Indian council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) is the largest scientific
organisation in India with most number of research institutes. ARS NET exam is the only life science exam in India that allows you to become a
Scientist in ICAR institutes all over India with just the qualification of M.Sc
in the concerned subject. That itself tells the importance of this exam. The
exam is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR and
Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) wing for filling direct
scientist vacancies in ICAR institutes across India.
Why you should take this exam
seriously?
In comparison with UGC CSIR NET this
exam is relatively simple. For UGC NET, Whatever be the specialization you have in your post graduation (may be botany, Zoology,
Biotechnology, Microbiology) it doesn't matter you will be considered as a
life science student irrespective of your specialization. In other words, a
botany student has to study biotechnology, zoology, immunology, microbiology
everything that come under UGC NET syllabus.
But in ICAR NET, you have questions
from only your stream. Exam is conducted under different categories. Separate
questions for each stream. So for qualifying this exam you should be a master
in your stream not in all the other streams of life sciences.
This time you can apply for both ARS and NET separately. And you have 150 objective type questions. Questions are very easy
compared to UGC-NET
The real advantage is this
ARS NET is equivalent to UGC NET. On qualifying this exam you are eligible for
assistant professor post anywhere in India.
So Don’t miss this chance.
You can expect a number of questions
from topics related to agriculture.
Here we are providing study materials
for ICAR NET exam preparation.
